/Rant

so spent an hour of my life i'll never get back in peugeot JT600 Guiseley today

all i'm after are

new Water pump Bolts
Clutch cover Bolts
Gearbox Fork Bushes and
the x2 Rubber O Rings that go around the main Wiring harness to chassis since these have perished!

For the bolts and GB bushes they wanted £42.07 and pretty much called me a liar and said these O rings didn't exist because they weren't on his diagram!
then said the bolts would have to be ordered in specially "I did have to remember my car was from 2000"

not being funny but i can't see them being specialist bolts????
does anyone have any part no or somewhere more reliable to get these from?

I can't get into Service box to see the part no's I need!

It's the same old now, the part guy you was speaking too probably has never seen a gti6 or a 306 and if it gets hard work to find the bits it's easier for him to say they don't do them than take a punt and end up with a part he gets wrong and has to stick in stockLOL

That and the prices now are higher on what they do sell as they are not interested in these cars now, they have had the money from the sales and the servicing over the years and now as its over the ten year since last production they don't have to stock or sell parts for it anymore.

Just go to a bolt stockist regards the nuts and bolts you are after, the water pump bolts I will have to check but I believe they are 11mm headed units are are not a common thread.

Theres a lot of M7x1.0 stuff on Peugeots, I have a feeling the clutch cover bolts are, same as the sump bolts. They are difficult to get hold of even from bolt specialists, all the ones I asked said they could get a box of 100 in several weeks time! Vespas and Italian scooters seem to use them a lot. However my local Peugeot (Stoneacre Harrogate) had the shorter sump bolts in stock, and had the longer ones in 2 days later.

I just give them the stock number and tell them to get it, the previous parts guy had been there 10+years and I used to get a decent discount but he's been replaced by a 20 year kid now!
