Up for sale is my nicely spec'd OEM+ 306 rallye in red.

The car has had a LOT of mechanical work done by myself and the previous owner and literally wants for nothing.

The car benefits from complete Xsara vts front suspension with nearly new springs, VTS rear beam rebuilt a couple of years ago so more toe and 21mm bars, fairly new sachs rear shocks, new lemforder rear beam mounts, braided brake lines all round, 2 new recent rear brake callipers, new handbrake cables both sides, rear brake pipes were all replaced by the previous owner but compensator removed also. Doesn't seem to affect it braking wise at all tbh, new P bushes and ball joints both sides, has a magnex cat back stainless exhaust system, cam belt water pump and Head gasket were all replaced 12,000 miles ago by previous owner.

The rallye also has a polished inlet manifold with resonator bunged off (ally welded) K&N induction kit (but have spare standard airbox), good condition cyclones all round which have been referbed in original sparkle silver a few years ago, twin 10" slimline fans on a new nissens ally radiator, new clutch at the same time as the head gasket, brand new clutch cable in the last couple of months, ATE racing brake fluid, powerflex lower engine mount brand new pug racing gear rods and a GE quickshift.

Chocked up top mount and top cups also been welded up, oil catch can,  revotec fan controller set to come on at 92 degrees stainless bulkhead heatshield shield blackmask head lights and black bonnet badge to match....

I also managed to source a very good condition low mileage rallye interior with no bolster wear on either side which has finished the car off nicely. I have a decent condition proper rallye steering wheel on its way too and have a standard airbox of the new owner would prefer it to a K&N.

Only MOT advisories were corrosion to the nearside front jacking point to which has now had some serious welding and strengthening including removal of side skirt (to find no further rust there) followed buy being fully undersealed under the skirt and under the front of the car both sides as well as undersealed on the bottom of the boot floor and anywhere else it needed doing.
Slight play In nearside front inner track rod which is minimal and not worth doing yet IMO,
And slight holes in 2 CV gaitors which have now been replaced.

The previous owner also carried out a lot of welding to the front wheel arches and front crossmembers underneath which I have then undersealed on top of as well. There is no further rust on the car that needs any looking at or attention anywhere as far as I'm aware.

All tyres have good tread but offside rear is warn on the outer edge.

Since owning this car I have spent a lot of time getting it back in decent shape sorting out wiring problems, knocks, rattles, and sorting the suspension out. As well as sorting a few running issues with misfires and spluttering etc but it runs lovely now. Both bumpers were also resprayed a couple of years ago.

I bought it as a fixer upper and have made a really nice car out of it. The induction roar is epic, the handling is spot on but not to firm and the gear changes are solid. The engine also pulls like a RS engine should all the way to the red line.

There's probably a load more things I've missed out and I could also list every little thing that I've sorted or had to re-do properly on this car after various previous owners poor attempts.

The only bad points on the car are mainly bodywork related but it is a 17 year old car at the end of the day. The bonnet and roof have faded slightly, (find me a red rallye that hasn't...) the bonnet is also pretty badly stone chipped but is original after 144k so to be expected.
The front bumper has a small bit of damage under the towing eye but wouldn't take a lot of sorting.

It does still clean up well and if the bodywork were better I would be asking at least £2000 for it Now. Pics to follow.

Haha I never see any round my way in the edge of Sussex other than ones from.the Kent lads on here. Even when I drive all over the country seeing family every couple of months I never see a rallye or a 6 anywhere.... saw a red rallye in Tunbridge Wells a few years back then realised a mate of mine owned it LOL.

I borrowed this car for a week while Pete fixed a miss fire on my 6 and I got to say, it was a pleasure to drive. No knocks or bangs, smooth power delivery everything working as it should. I almost didn't want to give it back after he fixed mine. LOL

I too had a good look around it couple of days ago. Looks like a good example and knowing Pete, everything will be mechanically sound. Im not saying it needs a respray, but if it did, it would be like a new car. And for that price, its a steal imo. Glwts.

Drives even better now as isn't putting up Map sensor codes or slightly misfiring at idle lol.

I forgot I also changed every single dash bulb on the centre console and all the back light ones on the speedo etc too.

Try finding a correct spec clock..... I found a NOS one via my parts man as I thought I needed one (turns out was my other Rallye that did which was sold).

£181.

Yeh I've been looking out for one... havnt seen one since I bought the car. Though I had a phase 2 d-turbo in at work for a service the other day which had the correct non temp clock in and was sorely tempted to rob it but thought I best not LOL

Yes Aaron brand new pug racing gear rods. Think I said that already but the writing is like an essay so easy to miss. I did forget to say it has a stainless bulkhead heatshield shield and how clean the engine bay is.

Pics of stone chips. Been on the look out for a decent Cherry bonnet too but any I have found have been badly dinged or dented or scratched up.

Full Circle in Marden could probably repaint that one for you for ~£100, far easier than sourcing a replacement?

Replacement probably won't match in any case - red fades depending on how/where car has been kept, this will vary. Repaint best as long as a proper job done - mine is still crazed and dull from when it had some dealer blow-over in about 2005 and I've still not sorted it after owning the car since 2011.

He's not a member but might see if he will sign up for a fiver it's always useful for info. He's had plenty of pugs before and wants a toy/ occasional track day car so it's ideal really.

Now if someone would just buy the girlfriends Citroen C2 I have to sell and the ibiza I have to sell too ill be down to 2 cars and have the wedding at the end of the year mostly paid for lol.
