I think the seller has been smoking some strong stuff to price it this high, with the bits that need doing. Plus it's not the lowest mileage 6. As far as I'm aware mechanical_repairs has a 13k phase 1?

Discuss.

As with anything, his car his price. We tend to forget that not everyone who is a fan of these cars is on this forum. If someone is looking for a low miles (and yes, there are lower mileage cars out there, but 62k IS low miles for these cars now) late example and more importantly has the cash spare then they might well shell out for this.

Personally, I think the colours s**te so wouldn't pay a grand for it, but that's my opinion Cool

To be fair, if this helps push the values up then I'm all for that.

My Manstone cost me £650 back in 2013 (had 69k on it it then, and now it's on 81k), and I've probably spent another £1500 on top of that since, with another few big bills coming up in the next few weeks (new front shocks & top mounts, and a new cat-back exhaust). Getting back my expenditure on it has 2 chances: Bob Hope & no hope!

I understand that not all the people who "live for the 306" for want of a better expression aren't on here, but it's very strong money for what it is. I've seen cars in just as good condition selling for less over the past few months.

I had to message him to just let him know it's not the "lowest mileage best condition 6 in the country" and take a grand off..... But good luck with the sale.

To be fair to him it's worth a bid if you're just after a clean phase 3. Not 4k's worth like but a nice example.

My ph.1 is only slightly higher mileage than that. It was on 53k when I bought it.

On the other hand it's on 1220 right now and reserve not met with 8 bids so he might not end up getting bad money for it.

4k is having a larf tho. It does look very clean but even if someone's desperate for a mint low mileage diablo I can't see them coughing up 4k for it. You could buy a s**t one and renew most things on it like suspension etc and then respray it for not far off that lol.

3K now lol

It looks like it's got the wrong strut on the front as it looks a tad bit higher then standard to me.

You can also see the "car park dings" down the side in one of the pics.

Deeturbo - I think I read somewhere that not all the Phase 3 cars have the front splitter. Could be wrong though!

Think he had it up for over 5k Unsure

To be fair I saw it years ago when I was down at his place and it is the definition of mint

Incorrect all gti6s came with a front splitter - they were not fitted to some for transport purposes but we're in the boot just most dealers didn't bother to put them on !

Well that's how I understand it anyway

I think I've read before they all came in the boot unfitted and was down to the dealer to bother to fit them at PDI before they went out to the customer.

Much as when I was at mitsubishi all the Evo's front undertray amd clips were in the boot in clear bags and if they were say the MR model or a decent one the carbon front splitter would be in the boot too... they were a c**t to fit lol.

Hmm just read the description properly.... needs exhaust and wishbone or 2, wheel refurbished hockey stick clips boot badge front bumper painted.... and already at 3k.... someone buying it must be high as a kite...

Either that or I should be putting a grand on the price of the rallye I have for sale.

I think he may have some friends bidding this car up with 5 days still to go with 11 bids upto 3 grand seems odd to me. We've all had a family member or a friend to bid our items up let's all be honest
