Hi guys, new to the forum and the 6 life.

Just started driving a R reg Blaize gold 6. Which i brought of my older brother, and iv been waiting to drive this car for
the last 4 half years lol. I was about 15 when he got the car and loved it and from that point i decided i wanted it and told
him id buy the car off him. Obviously being 15 i got a bit carried away and at the time didn't understand things like insurance. so it sat SORN on my grans drive for about 2 half years.

But anyway now i have my dream car, and to start with iv given the car a good service and a clean and considering it had been sorn for 2 years the car drives great. And at the MOT apart from the old factory CAT being knackered and having to be replaced had no advisories apart from rust of the discs.

So i fitted some Brembo pads with MTEC vented/drilled discs, which are great.

And only having the car on the road for 2 days couldn't resist making myself a full stainless exhaust system which is now on the car and sounds amazing lol. but just a few little bits left to do including the De-cat Big grin

And have just finished fitting the Carbon fibre induction kit and cold feed. Still got a lot more to do just time and money
which im sure all of you on here know you need deep pockets when it comes to cars Smile

Hopefully the car will be ready for the French car show and would be great to meet some of you guys from here that are going.

Welcome mate, also a relatively young 306 owner. I got my first around my 21st birthday. Insurance on my 1.1 106 came down...so I went ahead and put it right back up again by buying a gti6. Laugh my ass off

cheers retropug. yeh i had a rover 25 to start with and that met its maker when it sadly lost a fight to a steel gate post LOL then i got a 106 1.1 for a couple of months while i was waiting for my years no claims for the 6. so yeh going from a 1.1 106 with about 40hp lol made the 6 feel like even more of a rocket lol
