Does anyone know if the cambelt needs the aux pulley to keep it on? My engine runs a pulley which sits further out from the crank cambelt pulley and the cambelt is edging its way off the pulley, and has chopped a hole in the cover. I'm getting a spacer made to go against the pulley to keep the belt on the pulley but just wondering if it should stay in place without one? I would've thought it should, all the pulleys besides the cam pulleys are brand new but wondering if one is bent or something?

If you look at the back of your crank pulley (if you still have it) you'll see the marks left by controlling the axial float of the belt. Smile
