Hi gents any one got any experience on recovering oxidised stained paint

A previous owner has attempted to polish out the stained paint and made a proper mess whats the best method to get it looking good

Should i machine polish of other any advice would be great

2000 wet flat and cut it back see if that helps, or is it under the lacquer?

I did my white 306 just the other week, lots of black stains I couldn't get out.

But I went pressure wash, soapy wash, tar remover, soapy wash clay bar, soapy wash, cutting compound, polish wax. Looks mint now.

I used a dual action polisher as I don't have a variable speed polisher. For this the swirls are there but the white is so clean and smooth.

If I did it again I'd use a variable speed polisher and make sure not to spot focus

Reacon its under the lacquer will try as suggested have washed n waxed n washed n high pressure jet think he has left the cutting agent to long in random places

If it's under the lacquer, there isn't much else to do apart from strip and paint.

Clay bar, G3 1500 rpm,G10 finishing compound or Cartec refinish 1500 to 2000 rpm, sealer and wax. will be like new.

If its under the lacquer machine polishing will just f**k it up even more.

My Focus is covered in this Patina , and it is worth £6000 more than a normal rusty Ford , The Derick Dickinson told me so.
