Just wondering if anyone has any experience of using a good 15" hillclimb or sprint tyre?
Currently using AD08r which are good, cheap but I suspect don't have the out right grip of something more specific. A soft tarmac rally tyre might work too I guess...

Think that 888 or A048 will not warm up enough, especially on the rear.

Yeah, fast to warm with them being a soft wet compound. Hybrid crossply though so need a little different geo.

I was running road legal .... Kumo Ecsta V70a K12 compound ( Supersofts ) at Pugfest last year & all I can say is Wow ...
Only problem is I had to drive the car there with them on and was told not to drive Non stop at speed or they will wear out / melt LOL
They were half worn by the end of the day ...

Cool thanks I'll take a look.
I don't run much camber anyway, only -1.5 on the front as that's what was recommended with the quaife

Was told these are the best tyres in Supersofts for hill climb outside slicks ....Adam ?
They bloody well stuck like glue from the start gate m8 ....I was impressed anyway Whistle

When Manthos had a ride we had a very close moment ...where I think if I'd not of had these on we may of been In some off track trouble LOL

Not had the pleasure of using my camber adjustment yet ?
I was told softer suspension & less camber for hill climb ?
My B8s with Eibachs were great ...my new suspension I've had made for bumpy Combe & I can also dial it down softer ...not as soft as the B8s but smoother LOL

They look like CR311s ....What compound are they Wayne ?????
Didn't think they were available in x22 Supersofts in 15s or 17 that I run sadly ...amazing tyre

You haven't got them in 16s have you ???....hard compound ? 185/625/16s- x04 hard would be amazing for Combe with some warmth in them ...

I rang Mr Tyre the distributor about them but was told x22 Supersofts only available in couple of sizes ?

Mostly hard x02 ?

got load of different compounds , but all 15" as thats the only size i use damien , have about 10 x22 compound supersofts , 2 of wich are brand new , dunlop are not making any more cr311 so are hard to get hold of , i use the x22 on back as only getting dragged round , so give amazing grip

check what tyres you're allowed to use, the regs will usually refer to a list number, check the list to see what they will allow.

avon acb10 is a single seater formula ford tyre , there should be no reason about using moulded slick for spints and hillclimbs

Just have to not be slicks. No list in the open class...
