well my side airbag light is on and upon playing with the cables under the seats ive found something out

passenger side: unless the pre-tentioner has been unplugged the light comes on with the ignition goes out then comes back on after 10 seconds by my count

drivers side if the yellow plug is unplugged it is again 10 seconds but if the red plug is also unplugged or if just the red is unplugged it goes down to 5 seconds

is this something that is known about and does anyone know what the differant timeings mean on a correctly working car

now im very confused

the garage said that the only thing that came up was 165 ignition pretentioner 2

but on unplugging the orange plug drivers side or passenger side the airbag light comes on too as well as the side airbag light so the plugs cant be the issue and surly side airbag light would mean an issue with just the side airbags not the pretentioner

ignition pretentioner..............

try the side bag sensor on the sil
there are two one each side bolted to the sill near the filler cap release and same point passenger side

well i had a look at them they were both plugged in but i stuck a safety pin down inside the contacts to clean them

now instead of the side airbag light going off then on again it just comes on and stays on

hmmm thinking about it im not sure i plugged the drivers side back in i dont remember doing so

well today i did everything i could think of

under the seats has been re-done with bullet connectors and cant be the side impact sensors as when theyre disconnected the side airbag light doesent go out then come back on just stays on all the time
