User 'Stef306' rebuilds beams. He's down in Dorset (Lyme Regis). Perhaps source a beam to have sent to him to be refurbished or he can often source them when requested. He couriers them also if you can't get down there.

on the same time trying to figure out what would be the best way to sort out my problem.. anyone know anything about abaxle or imaxles?? they're selling refurb ones for £220-250 (+£30 delivery) with 2 year warranty which doesn't sound too bad..

Have an imaxle on the 6 works well its newly fitted will tell in time how its doing you will need to return you old axle to them and in addition all new bearings mounts and mount brackets (or refit your others) never heard of abaxle Smile
Are you after standard or lowered bud

abaxels doing on the same way but they more expensive (+£35).. emailed imaxels and already answered, £215+£30 for a rebuild one and they can post it same day..also they'll do any required riding height.. I need a lowered one..

All I can say on this is pay cheap Pay twice ...I wouldn't use any of those two for a 6 axle m8 ....
I've used Jord294 & I know Miles is top top notch also ...so say Stef306 is v good also.

Have a look on here at people who know there stuff & who they use Thumbs up

PS I have a Jord294 axle & it's a work of art ...not cheap ...but worth every penny m8

well, those refurbed ones looks too good (cheap) to be true.. :/

what do you think how long should they run after a refurb? I know its hard to say but mine has done ~30k/4 years since its been re-done..is it not too early a bit?

This is the entire point buy cheep replace sooner buy quality dont replace for many miles
My rallye beam appears original and has done 150k
If an imaxle lasts 10 or even 20k would you be happy Sad
If a new quality built beam cost 200 more but kasted 40k which would you buy
I have quality on the rallye because i want it oem and top quality the 6 is done but will need done again but that ok for me because i like my projects and may change it just to set for track or even put to original

Nothing wrong with cheaper bits as long as they suit your budget and purpose
How lon do you intend to keep it is it your daily

And for me the most important thing is are my family safe in it

Theres a vid of a cheap beam trailing arm snapping on youtube somewhere the guy was dicking around in it but only on wet grass !
    Cheep mr wongs replacements

    Choice is always relevant

Rebuild it yourself with proper ones on the bright side if you do get to changing things nothing should be seized and should just be an easyier swat out Smile
    Silverlinings and all that
Not all parts that are cheep are crap though some are better than original take the top mounts for instance i brought some from febi and a set from peugeot 40 price difference peugeot being the more expensive but febi being the better quality ?
