Where the tank was now gives me a whole load of room to sink the ATL alloy Box into the floor behind passenger seat below rear bench seat and maybe relocate my battery which is sunk into the boot floor to behind drivers seat opposite side of ATL ....hopefully no full sloshing around will help too ....

PS ....thank God no rust at all below old fuel tank ...bonus

The exsisting Stainless middle section of the Exhaust will be modified to now come straight out the middle of the rear of the car ...no bends Thumbs up

Looks good Damien. Will be interesting to see how your new fuel cell fits. Are you making a hole for it to sink into, or are you fabricating a box in your floor pan?

I’m using the Alloy rectangular box that the plastic fuel cell sits in Thumbs up
I’m cutting a rectangular hole the size of the alloy box and sinking it into the floor level with the outside underneath the car floor pan ...so the weight when full of fuel in low similar to standard tank ....

that means it will sit 1inch higher than the top of the metal curved bench seat (inside) the car ...I’m welding alloy 30mm angle all around 4 corners onto the top edges of the ATI alloy box which will stop it falling through the floor rectangle hole ...then using 4mm flat rubber between under the 30mm alloy angle between the steel floor to absorb some vibrations and some sound and bolting it down ...

That’s the plan at mo LOL ....all may change yet

Small update ....

Bought a Pro Stack oil Temp gauge kit to go in my dash to give me a much better visual and it changes col when below or above with a audible buzzer etc

Had to buy a M14 x 1.25 Brass adapter to fit the sensor to the front middle of the sump where the old standard sensor was ...
Only got to buy another for the Water Temp and then all the dash info I will get is MPH and REVS / fuel ....but I have a large Stack Rev counter separate and in 4/5 Weeks my ATL fuel cell will arrive with separate fuel gauge also .....

so I can see the dash coming out at some time this year LOL ( GPS speedo ) ?

Fitted new 25mm Samco flouro lined for oil breather pipe that comes from top of rocker into box and then oil goes back into the block of the engine ...

Picture below and next posts shows it ..nothing special....had clear nylon webbed plastic water pipe before that went hard and was cracking ...very little oil really appears to travel through it ?

A very Small update ...but one that will enable me to trial fit my front plus 50 bumper ...the oil cooler was upside down / wrong way and oil cooler pipes were to low which now the cars lower than before is-no good now ...

Few mods completed to the rad and Alloy brackets bent and welded to enable the oil cooler to sit 1inch in front of the radiator enabling the plus 50 front new bumper to sit further back ...

The Oil cooler is in better direct air flow now also

Not in the picture gone from 13 inch fan to 11 inch now which is still over kill

I saw someone the other day had used aerocatches to secure their bumper, something i'm considering in the future. Eventually my whole car will be held together with the bloody things Laugh

Looking good. How did you get your bonnet lifters to work with a fiberglass bonnet? Are they the standard struts?

Big Thankyou Nick Thumbs up

The bonnets came from a 306oc group buy and mine being double skin came with the ball socket fitting in the same place as the original metal bonnet ...big bonus ...

I had to rebond the front two skins together at the front corners / front middle ...filling the holes with slow expansion spray foam ...as in my earlier posts on track at 115-130 the wind gets between the skins into the hollow frame and the bonnet flex’s and lifts even with Aero catch’s ....well it did not any more LOL

I believe (Cully) or someone may remember or know the name of who they were ordered off of ? (PS only fibreglass) !!!!...

I bought mine off another member who had ordered one on the 306oc group buy but didnt end up using it ....
