Small update ...
Just ordered the very first pair of Carbon/ Kevlar mix complete 306 doors from Maxi Motorsport / Tony Palfrey owner ...
Contact him on https://www.maximotorsport.com/

Amazing bloke who's twisted the arm of the company who only ever make them in GRP ....Colin Satchell & Dean Gammon have his doors in Carbon / Kevlar mix for both there 106s amazing quality

So 8wks time a set of doors should save me 40-50 kgs as I'm using winders & glass at mo ...my doors will be up for sale complete if anybody's interested?

Also getting my rear 205 group A dampers Revalved by Bilstein to take my 25mm Torsion Bars ...

Hi, you are correct Stef, MC Racing are one of my suppliers, and I am a authorised UK agent for them. They used to be relatively easy to deal with as Julie in the sales team was English speaking, however she left late last year so you do need a good grasp of French to communicate effectively!

My prices are matched to theirs, with regular exchange rate update, and a 2% multiplier to cover about half of the international payment costs.

In reality it is cheaper to buy through me than from them direct, they will charge a 4% fee for card or PayPal payment, and banks charge a minimum of £20 for an international payment. In addition all three of these options actually offer you a exchange rate which is significantly worse that the real rate - whereas you would pay Maxi Motorsport in GBP.

Stef, drop me a PM if you are need anything else, I will give you a price for comparison. If you are interested I have Kevlar/carbon tailgates and auto bonnets for the 205 from a UK supplier.

Best Regards, Tony

Small update

Well because of the Carbon / Kevlar doors coming I've decided to go the full job & order a full set of Carbon door cards ....the difference with these front ones from France Via Tony Palfrey is they are shaped all around the sides & im thinking this may help stiffen them up even more ?
Wil Declaudio now has 106 ones that look unreal from Tony also

I'm removing the Plastic tank & fitting a small one baffled with fuel sender & built in Pump ...that means I can then fit a straight through system off Mike Edwards & get it remapped
Im sinking the tank into the floor behind the Passenger seat into the rear seat floor

What size tank? I measured mine the other week and It was 30ltr so that's going in.

Does he think it will make much difference going strait through? Again reason I ask is I will be adapting
/doing a new system for mine as changing the manifold

Yours really does make me want another 306

On my Engine a little & not worth the expense really & it ideally will need mapping again NOT good for the wallet ?
But I can make things much simpler in the long run & it means no fuel sloshing about & better weight spread if I'm in the car on my own....no real advantage but I just want to do it Thumbs up
I'll go 30-40Litres maybe so I can do more laps before fueling ?
Nothing set in stone yet on size LOL

Well they are carbon / Kevlar from Maxi Motorsport - Tony Palfrey & they weigh 7.1 kgs each with inside door panel screwed on & Perspex windows & metal Hinges..

The standard doors with winders are 26.4 kgs complete.....

So 14.2kgs a pair carbon/Kevlar v 52.8kgs standard complete
