I should of made a project thread for my car ...sadly all the stuff I've done is scattered all over the place .

£850 inc vat from Miles ....it's the real deal Bacci motorsport one ...

The thing is the Pug1off one is close to £1000 inc vat & they won't say who's made it ?....not tried & tested either ...
So I've saved a chunk & have a company who have been around for ages make it ....Miles said he fitted their stuff nearly 20yrs ago to a high spec 205 rally car ...

I think I'll go down the route of a 5 speed with different ratios!

Well all I can say Adam is I was stupid & should of listened to YOU & others about the cage m8 .
I had Manthos at Pugfest in my car & I nearly lost it big time & that would of been messey ...
Got the video to prove it Thumbs down

It's cost me loads of money as I'm sure you are all aware but as Dennis said its the little bits that add up & make the difference .
I've tried to listen & take bits & ideas from all the cars on here that work !

Got no Credit cards anymore thank god ...all the money I've spent I've saved up ...but it's nearly all gone ...

Just need to get the use out of it this year Crazy

Spoke to Welshpug who knows his stuff & Sandy Brown & Miles & Advanti motorsport ..
What I was told was the 6speed box so say has closer ratios shorter gears than a 5speed which has longer gears ...

My engine internally is 100% standard ...So I need to keep it in the correct rev range to have enough power .

I added up the cost & hassle of getting a 5speed sorted & refurbed & then Ash / Roland Rat offers me a Phaze 1 Engine & 6speed phase 3 box in great condition ....
So Miles who runs a 6speed himself modified with different internal said go 6speed with Bacci 4.75 giving me 128mph in 6th at 7500...
Miles really can have & sort what he wants so him saying go this route ...kind of sealed it

It's a good route with that FD. I can't afford it or I'd do the same thing.
6 speed was ok at Snetterton but not as good as the hybrid 5 I had last year. Cage makes such a huge difference to the shell and to your confidence. Ash wasn't at all scared in my car the other week even though we had a couple of braking sideways moments.

The Engine I got off Roland Rat /Ash is a very long term project 12months time job !
Because of Money costs ...

Sandy Browns having it & going to fit it in over the next 12months ...
Plans on that is 2.2 on solid lifters ..
He's made some amazing 2.1s for Rallyash who's car is totally unreal but he's not done a 2.2 yet ..
I'm carrying more weight than some stripped 306s ..having all glass etc but I do take passengers loads ...

So hope so Adam ...love your car & your attitude m8 ...Welshpug is so busy & doesn't really have time to mess about with me ..He's done you proud though m8 ..
Welshpug knows his stuff & has been a great help ...

I've tried to listen to those who know & go for tried and tested stuff ...
I just need it all sorted by the end of this month so I can do Combe in March

As I'm sure your all aware I don't like waiting ...I try to get on with things ASAP ...

4.75 FD 6speed crownwheel & Pinion

It's a 57/12 = RD167 on there website
Divide 57 into 12 = 4.75 ....PS I didn't know that LOL

Black Art Design with Russain Guy / Dennis top mounts
PS I do has a pair !
I've gone 2/1 ratio giving me a slightly softer damper which I can ramp up with 32 adjustment settings ...
Nothing more than Russain Guy had really apart from Dennis had 3/1 .
I'm doing Combe which is bumpy more & Prescott where you need softer springs for hill climb .
Basically I've got a softer damper at the 1 setting ...
I've really not got any smooth Tracks around me to ramp the setting up & Black Art Design chap who's driven Combe said 2/1 it's bloody bumpy upto most circuits ..

I'm thinking about getting a hybrid 5 speed to try out and see if I like it. Need to see how the 6 speed is with the new engine first though

Welshpug made Adam Bs one that is epic ...
I just went a slightly diff route ...
At the mo my cars only pushing under 200 so I need it now ..in 12 months time my new engine will pull through any gear / Rev range as Rallyashs does !
RallyAsh doesn't even need to rev his above 6500 to fly at Combe

All the stuff I've done has been seen on here before with others / good results ...haven't seen a 6speed 4.75FD though ? Not 4.8 ..Pug1off either ?....only 5speed 4.8s & (1 PST Box for sale with 4.8 from Pete_Rallye )....I'm sure I'll get corrected if I'm wrong LOL

Your a star Wayne ...big thank you for the update m8 Thumbs up

Just playing around with some cardboard making two electric window pod mounts for original switches ...
When it's unfolded I can get it made in alloy & Blackened .

I'm making it on a angle towards the driver & tilted .
Both will screw through your carbon and into the door metal its self ...
This will keep them away from the top of the door crossbars so they work when the doors are closed .

I need to round the corners off .
They screw from underneath as they are hollow

I can use the original switches both sides without changing the wiring .
Also I'm not using this one with mirror ajuster ...got two without as I'm using fixed wing mirrors Thumbs up

Paul there's a reason I'm having pods on each side of the door ...I would do your great Idea ...but won't be able to reach my dash when strapped into my Harness m8 ,..I've worked out I can just reach where I'm placing them on the door panel / Panels m8 when in bloody no movement harness Crazy

Sadly Would but couldn't use winders as my door X crossbars will be in the way & wouldn't want to open the doors to wind the window up & down ...
I do drop the windows a little 1-2 inches at times when at Combe Thumbs up
