Hello everyone, I was just looking for some advice regarding the above.

Half way through changing the clutch and all the associated parts, I've mullared the clutch arm
and bushes but i bought a replacement clutch release fork and arm from GSF.

Under inspection the new arm and bushes are completely different to the old ones despite being listed as the replacement under my reg number!

Any ideas?

Yep, completely incorrect. Yes

What exactly is the issue with using the original fork? You would obviously require new bushes for it.

Nothing wrong I just thought to buy and replace everything.. I think the other bushes and stuff fit the old fork.. Reckon that'd be okay?

Bushes are only a few quid from the main dealers. Clean up the fork ends, copper slip the bushes and job jobbed Thumbs up

Yeah the black fork but the arm as shown in the picture! Will get some new bushes and use normal grease. Thankyou all! Hoping all this time I've spent on this chuffing clutch will be worth it!

Also buy a new clutch cable and then you'll see a massive difference between old and new stuff

Yes, the arm looks to be the correct part. Yes

Just need the new bushes for the fork from Pug and you should be good to go. Smile

Was going to say... copper grease is an anti seize compound not a lubricant. Shouldn't be used on moving parts as it has copper particles in which are abrasive use normal grease to lubricate. No point changing the arm unless it's bent or damaged just clean up the ends replace the bushes and lubricate it well.

And the cable is what makes them stiff and heavy usually as it does two 90 degree bends on a right hand drive car so the cable wears Into the outer sheath as it attempts to straighten itself under load.

It looks very similar, you're probably best off getting a genuine arm if your current one is mullered.

That arm is almost identical to the old one, even so I'll pop down to vospers. (Yay)
New bushes and an arm. The pennies are adding up.

That they do sold my ex a Dturbo years ago and she knew the clutch was heavy but the cable eventually snapped. Then she had the cable replaced which snapped again shortly after LOL springs had gotten too stiff for the cable to handle.
