Not sure what's the problem thought someone has got some bright idea?

So what happened is I popped into the car turned the key and everything gone.. literally everything.. first thought its the battery as its quite cold outside now but after a minute or so the power came back and everything looked normal.. tried it again but by the moment when I turned the key its gone again.. I could hear the starter motor to turn just for a half a second.. Dunno

I'd still try a known good battery on it. Just because it says its charged, doesn't mean it is.....

I came home today, disconnect the charger and tried again but still nothing.. I called RAC out as it was already dark so I didn't see anything and I have no spare battery to try with anyway..
so rac turned up little explanation whats (not) happening then he asked me to try to start it.. and it did.. so bloody typical!!!

he checked the terminals and he recon it was a bad connection.. tbh I think it wasn't too bad and it wasn't loose at all..

I guess its time to check/clean all the connections then..

anyway, thanks for all the response and help! Wink

so the same thing happened again last night..but the power never came back..
it was quite dark, cold, windy, also I was miles away from home so called rac straight and then started to investigate..

checked the main fuses, all were fine, didn't really see anything (literally), started to blame the alarm/immo system maybe disabled the ecu somehow.. so when I was waiting I thought I might just take off the battery terminal wait a little bit and then let see what happens.. I started to undo the negative one and when I touched the cable actually I heard some obvious clicks from some relays..
turned up the negative terminal was faulty.. the wire had no proper connection in the terminal its just got worn out in the last 16 years..

rac guy was very happy with me, basically I showed him whats the problem.. still did cost me 4.50 for the new terminal though..

thought worth to share this information, the battery terminal still can cause trouble even if its tight enough..
