thank you for that information, hence why i was after a 45 profile instead of a 40,
slightly (2cm~) more and it would allow for lower springs while maintaining the same ride height,
the springs would be less compressed, hopefully resulting in a softer ride, less rigid.

This car will not be driven to the limit, it is a fast / faster road car,
Demon tweeks dont ship the wheels to Australia anyway.

you plan is not a great one, as you are losing suspension travel.

I have 16" 1.2's on mine now, great wheels, a definite improvement over the Turnini's I ran previously, car feels more agile on track and general steering response felt improved (not sure how much of this is just me convincing myself)

I also think they look great!

Running a 205/45/16 they do rub on the back though, ideally need to get the arches rolled. They also catch on the box slightly at full lock

After looking at it for a bit, and realising Demon Tweeks don't ship wheels to Australia....

if / when i go for a 15" TD 1.2 what is the correct ET for the 306 (18?),
what is the best way to correct the sizing since the 1.2s only come in an ET of 15 or 23.

i will probably end up with a 16" if i leave it for long enough.... if i do, what do people do,
a 50 profile or a 45 since both profiles either go slightly bigger or slightly smaller?

since the overall diameter is the same shouldn't there be no problems,
or is the problem the width from a 6" rim to a 7" wide rim.

the website say they will ship 15" rims but no larger..... Current option:

205 55 15 too big, 195 50 or 55.

50 gives best tyre choice, dont use toyo.

I would be happy with top two, I have them on both current daily drives, though hard to compare directly as the michelin is a 195 50 15 and the continental a 235 45 17 on a big floaty bmw LOL

amazingly though the Michelin's are $200 cheaper to ship to Australia than the Toyos, go figure...

while i'm doing this purchase would you recommend anything else from Demon Tweeks?

Just got an email off Demon Tweeks, they will ship the larger rims, stick with the 15" or go to a 16"?

I've got 1.2s /16s for track work because they go over my 330 Brakes just .
I've got Mo5s Compomotive 17s for everyday use .

Run 205/50/16s had to roll arches...

Run 205/45/17s they both hit 6 gearbox on lock only one way & not a issue as long as your Mot testers friendly ...

I never use 17s now as 16s feel & I think look better ...
Run completely diff tyres on each so can't compare them ....

I have 30mm drop

As I said on above earlier ^^^^^^^

If I could Run anything ......I can't because of my 330s ....I would 100% go 15s ....and I run 16s & 17s ....I DONT run my 17s anymore because of no tyre give & the car feels rubbish ...16s are Dunlop DZ03gs from Demon Tweeks which are the best Road legal / Track tyres I've ever used & stiff as hell side walls ...

But if your wanting the best all round tyre go for 15s with any of the top two ?
Or if your not sure just go 16s which look better but you will need to roll your arches ....but I wish I could go 15s Thumbs up

^ dam you, my problem with 16"s was that they are 1.2kg heavier than 15s and only .4kg lighter than 17s, but yes they would look awesome, logic wins 15s it is.... i think..... maybe..... maybe...

yea 16s are $100 more than 15s and $10 more than 17s (go figure) 15s it is with the Michelin.

IMO 15s look great on 306s, particularly if you start lowering the ride height and then the arches start to look pretty full even without upsizing the wheels:

I was going ask what you're suspension setup was then i realised that it is an action shot in a corner.

I agree i am very happy with circa 3kg less on each wheel.

I'd go with 15s if I could. I only run 16s due to brake clearance, same as Day

Oh no, I love the 310mm brakes. I'd like some APs that go under 15s but can't be bothered spending money on them when I know the 310s work well

I run 16's too for brake clearance and it is the stand out feature of the car on track days, I am way way better under brakes than other very well setup cars.

And it's a good kit although they don't come up for sale often. APs will go under 15s as well but more pricey generally
