Ok so I have no battery light on first click of the ignition or second and when I fire up the car the battery light comes on after a min (dim but on) I have put another alternator on and getting 14.4 volts at the battery so something must be a miss somewhere for the battery light not be working as it should ? Any ideas ? Had the dash out recently to do matrix but everything works so doubt I missed something.

Have checked earths and they are all as should be all be it someone bodged the 2 earths on the box that I have fixed now ?

I think it may be a fuse issue as doing a search fuse 28 causes problems and the rear wiper is also not working ?

Will have a look when I get back to the car in a couple of days ?

I was going to say, look at the rear wiper fuse, it'll be blown and the cause is the relay mounted on the rear wiper motor that will be corroded.

I recall that fuse does a lot, i.e. i suspect your electric windows are also not working.

Had this on my HDi many moons ago.

As above, that blue relay on the rear wiper is the cause of many gremlins. Once removed/replaced end of issue.
It may not fix your problem, but definitely worth a look mate. Thumbs up
