Can anyone recommend or had any experience with a company in Berkshire or the surrounding counties to weld a cracked top engine mount in a similar way to the repairs performed by some of the members on here?

Thanks in advance,

Chris.

Berkshire to Southampton area is not too far so I'd just get daveyboy to do it if he's available.

Well I managed to get hold of Jim to do this on Thursday night. Fantastic job and it really has transformed the car. If you haven't had chocks welded in the top mount regardless of whether the mount is cracked or not I thoroughly recommend you get it done. Along with the vibratechnics engine mount I've experienced a tighter feel going over bumps, sharper throttle response, better turn in, more precise gear changing on and off throttle, more stability whilst braking, less torque steer and tracks in a straight line on bumpy roads better. Highly recommended. Thanks Jim Smile

Blimey, you're welcome Chris, I'd not personally lay claim to all those advantages but as long as you're happy that's the main thing. And cheers guys for the positive endorsements.
