Anyone got a cam belt kit knocking about they don't want?

Am after one for my Rallye.

Cheap enuff new mate I got a gates cambelt/waterpump kit for less than 100

I know bud. I can get the whole lot from GSF this weekend for £67.....not a gates kit although I imagine they are all much of a muchness?

I recently paid £84 for a gates belt kit and a Valeo water pump from mister auto.

    Yeah iv always gates kits on all my cars never had any issues I'd recommend.

    The genuine belt kit contains a dayco belt and INA idler and tensioner nowadays. I'm ordering one this week last time I did it was under £100 for genuine kit and genuine water pump. Nothing wrong with a gates powergrip belt either. If you go down that route I'd still go for a genuine water pump if it were me as any aftermarket ones aren't as good quality that I've found.

    Belt kit from.gsf will be dayco or Rouville usually. The thing to watch out for is they have changed the idler and tensioner in recent years for plastic items rather than metal. I've had plastic ones fail prematurely before.

    Hi Ben, a few part numbers for you to have a look about for - they may help dig up a cheapy.

    GATES = K025468XS

    CONTI = CT955K1

    DAYCO = KTB165

    SKF = VKMA03213

    These are all kits with 136 teeth.
