cully Seasoned Pro Location: Cullompton Registered: 12 Jun 2013 Posts: 1,093 Status: Offline	Post #1 I have a cylinder head that needs a skim! i understand the head new is 137mm +-0.05 between the cam ladders the maximum safe skim is to 136.8mm +-0.05 which = 0.2 of materiel can be removed the head i have is already skimmmed to 136.6mm is this head toast or is there any options of saving it seems a shame to scrap a head

cully Seasoned Pro Location: Cullompton Registered: 12 Jun 2013 Posts: 1,093 Status: Offline	Post #3 std J4RS Metal head gasket from pug is 1.2mm 0209 Z2 J4R lists but are Fibre 1.2mm 0209 N6 1.4mm 0209 T9 the 1.4 will only bring a max safe skim back to std hight i havent had it skimmed yet and its passed safe skim
