This issue is difficult to describe but here goes:

Before the car is up to temperature, it idles fine and takes throttle input with no issues. What does happen though, is that lifting off causes a very sharp drop-off in revs, making smooth gear-changes a bit more tricky. I know this shouldn't really be happening. AFAIK the car isn't down on power when cold but could well be as I never rag it from cold anyway.

The car developed running issues when cold very shortly after I first purchased it. These went away after fitting a new CTS and a new ICV. I also have what I think is a good TPS from my other 306 that ran absolutely perfectly fitted which I also was using over the winter to try to diagnose cold-running sluggishness.

All of the above worked and the car has been fine but this slight drop-off in revs was still bugging me but then the car came off the road for a fair bit.

Could this possibly be lambda-related? I've seen another thread regarding being down on power from cold which got me thinking. I'm not sure what other sensors could be affecting this.

No ideas?

To add, coilpacks were also swapped for a known good set which massively improved cold running.

could be map sensor, ideal way to diagnose is PP2000 and compare expected values with actual values.

Hmm okay, I did swap the map with one off a car that seemed to be running fine ages ago, but then that may not have been a great one anyway.

I'll bear the MAP in mind.

It isn't the ICV, ICV worked fine and then was replaced with a brand new magnetti marelli one.

Quite keen to learn the relationship function between the lambda the map the icv through the ecu i presume the lambda has a preheat so if this is faulty and is confusing the ecu whilst the engine is cold would this be the cause of you loss in power eg the lambda is telling the ecu there is to much fuel coming in and shuts down the flow this in turn telling the icv the air flow need adjusting !! How does the map relate to each of these
Thought id ask whilst your on the subject sorry to bomb your thread however should think the answer will be related to your issue
Not a mechanic but pretty good with micro process control systems this seems simular in function
