Right, head vs heart scenario...

I bloody love my 306, it's a toy and something that is somewhat of a labour of love, it's a money pit but a project and keeps me sane in a world of diesels and kids/houses/work

I always knew she wasn't the tidiest and on the last mot there were only 2 advisories, both of which are for corrosion on the front tips of the main chasis legs...

Anyway I stripped all of the sound dreading out ready for the Satchshift and under the carpet etc was pretty manky...I've got visible and quite bad rust in the corner where the roll cage leg would locate by the accelerator pedal/bulkhead/floor, as well as clear visible rot inside all along the passenger side will/floor pan (the floor is frankly buggered it's been badly jacked up basically everywhere)

It's a reasonable spec car with some nice bits and it's epic to drive, that said it will need a new clutch soon...

So here in lies the dilemma, I'm on a budget I just don't have 1000's to spend, and don't have the time to reshell etc, so at what point do you scrap it and try to find a better one or keep doing little bits at a time?

Stupid car actually effects my mood lol

Cheers

Fix the rust. Change the clutch. Job jobbed.

Have you got any pictures of it atall?
No doubt it will be fixable! Just depends on how much because you weigh up the time and money spent on the shell when you could swap it all over!

i'll get some pics - i daren't prod it as i'm scared it will go through lol

I'm loathed to scrap it as the spec is great and it would take ages to re-shell etc and frankly i dont have the time - that said i can only assume rebuilding the chassis legs etc is a significant amount of work and cost...
