hi, selling my phase 2 gti6 (1998) 5 previous owners if i remember correctly

was going to be a daily driver that i just motor around in but ended up spending hours restoring and loving working on this car! LOL

Strong engine that runs perfectly (no cambelt snaps!)

will try to get some engine pics up soon. the only real let down is the paintwork on this car, its passable but needs more love to get it back to showroom

work i have completed whilst owning

Engine
Manifold cleaned/powder coated
Cam covers powder coated
Engine block painted
Drive belt changed
Intake housing cleaned/rust proofed
Intake gasket replaced
Oil leak fixed on engine breather
Fuel leak fixed on fuel rail
New fuel rail and fuel regulator
New air filter @ 20/04/15
New spark plugs @ 21/04/15

Interior
leather resprayed in high wear areas
Dash lights replaced and upgraded to LED
Speedo and rpm dials calibrated
Interior deep cleaned with wet vac and de greaser
New key fob and batteries
New drivers window regulator and running gear

Exterior
Roof wrapped
Wheels and mirrors plasti dipped
new discs all round
new brake pads all round
new rear calipers

a perfect base for restoring to a prime example

Me too just couldn't figure out why, it's only 3 miles down the road from me. Being diablo is the only thing putting me off at the moment and possibly those graphics

Not a GTi6 clock pod. As said, redline in the wrong place, plus, they are phase 3 clocks and this is an early phase 2 car. Not telling if the mileage is correct...looks like the backlighting has been converted to blue led too....

Roof wrapped as i bet it had some proper lacquer lift going on....

Would anyone be able to PM the OP of this thread on the off chance he might receive an email notification? I am trying to track down this car as it used to belong to me years ago. I'd appreciate it, failing that any advice on how to track it down?

I can't see the pictures but if it had a odd pattern black wrap on the rear quarter then it was cut in half and sent to Trinidad and Tobago.

Well I had a response from the OP, he did manage to sell it but he also told me he knows that the new owner has also sold it on...so the case continues. Hopefully no holiday needed just yet.

Pretty sure it was me that bought it and it was sent to Trinidad. The rear quarter had a weird wrap on it to cover up lacquer peel. I can dig out the documents to double check but 99% sure I bought it from him in Oxford
