We need to pay to camber our rear beam now? Thought about 100k or 15 years would camber it for us

Welcome to the clubWave

Out of interest, when Bridgecraft Engineering do this mod, they remachine the the bore of the hole the stub goes into to match the angle of the remachined front face & provide an oversize stub pin to fit so the pin locates correctly on the inside of the arm..
How do you get around this without losing strength & how much does your mod increase the rear track?
Cheers
Wayne

Cool

By the looks of it it won't widen the track as the new plates are instead of the original caliper mounting brackets and not an addition

Hmm, this would enable the use of cheaper ford fit wheels as no spacer would be required.
Not sure about 4 bolts being strong enough to withstand the stresses involved though..

Cool

This might be me being stupid but you will still need wheel spacers as the 18mm spacers push the bearing outboard so the hub to wheel distance would be the same as before Dunno

Very interested in this. Have you got any photos of the kit fitted to an actual axle?

Clios use 3x m10 bolts and 1x m8 bolt to hold the stub axles on rather than 4x m8s. As the face the bolts seat on isn't at 90 degrees to the threaded holes they use countersunk bolts to allow for better positive seating. I believe 207s use m10 bolts too, please correct me if I'm wrong.

Do you take into account what the original arm geo is, what car it's for and the ride height when supplying the shims?

no spacer on back ,but Peugeot still larger spigot than ford ,still spacers required for front ,this is basically what was the old group N cheat on rear of cosworths ,use to make up thin steal shims for camber and toe in does

I take it you use a conical washer and counter sunk bolt in the back?

Seems complicated, you must have to make be-spoke shims and washers for every set up?! We've made clio style hubs in the past (albeit mounted with just 4x m10 bolts) but used the double shim arrangement like the clios use, much simpler.

With the extra 18mm per side track the look with your original wheels should be good, don't forget that when you add -camber the top of the wheel will disappear a bit under the arch so this kit is kind of self correcting. It'll stop those of us that run 7" rims from rubbing on the inner arch too!

Unfortunately widening the rear track has a negative effect on handling, like fitting a 309 beam on a 205, it ruins turn in and increase understeer.

I'm still unsure how you're taking ride height into consideration when supplying these? Do you supply a big box of shims with each set?

In stock you have negative camber about 1 degree on 306 arms, so I only add additional camber.
I supply only one pair of negative plates for one kit, but if you need more I can produce it for extra cost.
About widening the track, you can use Ford style wheels with ET 35.
