Got home with no sign of any issues.
Walked off the drive and noticed lots of oil drips leading to my car.
Looked under and there was a nice big patch of oil and all the underside was covered in it.
All coming from the front of the engine. Suspecting the oil filter but no sign of any holes.
It's done 4k and mostly short journeys in the last 2-3 years and not been serviced in that time.
Could it just be the seal on the filter has deteriorated?

The best engine in the world is the vagina, it takes any size piston, its self lubricating, starts with 1 finger, and every 4 weeks does its own oil change. It's just a pity the management system is so fecking temperamental.

The only way to really tell is to get it up on stands and then lay underneath the front end with it running and have a gander. Thumbs up

I've changed the filter and been for a short drive and it doesn't seem to be leaking. But until I go for a spirited drive of about 20 miles I'll not know for sure.

It's not on the sides.
That was my first thought. I replaced them when I put the engine in about 18k ago.
