Opinions seem to be divided on these. Test failures aside what are the fors and against? I've had them in diesels before and they been great...

For: lots of noise and better topend ,cracks n pops....

Against: loss of torque in the lower rev range, swapping at mot time

But people opinions do vary alot lol

How much torque are we talking? And I take it this is machined to fit a standard system?

Its the front of a oe cat (down pipe) then has a straight pipe welded where cat would be. Not sure how much its not masses but noticable i thought,but as said opinions vary

Looks a great job Mark Thumbs up ....


Yes you do lose A noticeable amount of Midrange when Decatting a 6 but gain on top end I felt in my opinion ....

DONT DECAT ....unless your getting your stnd ECU remapped by chip wizard or have a aftermarket Ecu like DTA /Omex / Emerald don't bother if your only using it on the road as a daily Thumbs down ...

A good mapper will get your midrange back with a decat & more ... but it's the refitting on the MOT putting it back on is the pain !!!!
