Seems people are putting the surface catches different ways ?
One in each front corner either sideways tyre to tyre or long ways facing windscreen ?

Any feelings on way better / right or wrong or even looks better a particular way ?

It says in the instructions that you fit them north/south, smallest end forward.

Why do people fit aero catches? Serious question - I've never felt the need. Are they more secure than std?

I fitted aero catches to my boot because I got rid of central locking so had no way to secure the boot. I fitted mine to the bonnet because I wanted to get rid of the std pull mechanism as the cage sits where the lever would have gone, and soon I'll have a composite bonnet which won't utilise the hinges so I'll be needing some more to secure that. Mine is a track car though so will never be entered into any show and shine type things Laugh

To be truthful I'm removing my middle catch because I have keyless entry & when my battery goes flat it's a sod to open the car ....plus last Combe track day I forgot to to push my internal catch back fully as the cables stiff & the bonnet opened to the first safety latch ...scary Crazy

I think others with fibreglass / carbon bonnets do it because of flapping when track day ?

You can see my two solar panels charging the battery ...the car doesn't get used much and when it goes flat it's a nightmare with no door locks anywhere on the car LOL

with the composite panels most don't have the facility to use the standard catch.
