Morning all.What were the different standard ICE setups in the Rallye? Did they ever come with P3 units or were they simply all P2 tape deck units?

There was a surround available from Pug that clipped onto the stereos in Phase 3 cars so does not fit other head units without alteration. It is similar to, but much nicer looking than, the aftermarket Autoleads ones. I doctored one with a Dremel to fit around my aftermarket head unit: ________________________________________ Cherry Rallye SOLD |

There is a tape deck in the ph3 that is DIN.I have one in mine. I don't think it sounds good or it could be the lack of tweeters in the mirror caps that could be letting it down. I'm going to try the later speakers first to try and keep it original'ish. If that doesn't help I'll be swapping the tape deck for the CD deck as I know that does sound good. It does look very much like the CD version but feels different when using it. It might be because the tape deck is Philips and the CD deck is Clarion.  |
