GTi-6 in gunmetal grey - a stunning example of an unbelievably fun car. Extremely low mileage, and I’ve held onto it for as long as I possibly can, but I work in the centre of town and unfortunately, I just don’t get the chance to drive it much anymore.

Bought with 45,000 miles on the clock back in 2010, the previous owner was a colleague and sold it to me as he was relocating to Australia. This car has been a dream to own and drive. Never once has it given me any issues or problems and is still in immaculate condition.

The usual spec: 3 door, manual, 6 speed, 2.0 16v, 161bhp, 0-62 in 8.8 seconds, 30 mpg, leather trim sports seats, alloy wheels, electric windows, electric sunroof, PAS, central locking, immobiliser

No rust (at all) or any dents or knocks to the exterior. Only a couple of common (minor) niggling issues - driver’s seat worn, clock not working, a/c not working and some very minor scratches on the paintwork.

Brand new battery, tyres and spark plugs, Sony head unit with ipod/iphone connector installed.

Any other questions, feel free to ask or to give me a call on 07841459812.

I do indeed. Up to about 50k from Peugeot (back in 2011) - and then all of my receipts and MOT's logging the mileage since then.

I've only put circa 5k on the car a year personally due to the reasons mentioned above

Yup. Purchased direct from Peugeot, but they were quoting an astronomical price to have it changed, so got the work done through Grove Automotive - Peugeot specialist

Went to view this today - Jamie seems like a nice enough chap and a genuine seller.

However, I felt the need to put my 2 pence worth in if anyone is thinking of going to view this.
As I understand it, potential buyers will be investing their time and money going to view cars so I thought you should know that Jamie's version of 'immaculate' is probably not the same as most peoples.

Some things to note...

-Big 5 foot key scratch from passenger near side wing to rear quarter - its not deep, but its very noticeable
-Drivers side key barrel has been swapped out due to someone breaking in at one point (so there is a third key to use in that side) paintwork/metal is a little damaged around there
-Drivers side door handle needs painting (as a common issue its snapped and replaced)
-Front tow eye has been bent over into the fog light grill (presumably from towing) which has warped the grill a bit
-Tiny 5p laquer peal on bonnet, slight dent in bonnet next to lion badge
-Various other blemishes/scuffs on body

There are some other areas that need maintenance that I noticed but I wont mention because they're not cosmetic.
On a positive note, the engine seems sweet as a nut, very smooth and quiet.

Sorry if it seems I'm being negative Jamie but I spent time and money to view this today and it was far from described so it annoyed me. Just be more honest with people and you will get a sale

This car will be a good buy for someone who wants a project and has time and money to spend on it.
Good luck with the sale - if anyone has any Q's specifically feel free to pm

It's a 15 year old, £1200 peugeot 306. By the sounds of it you wasted your own time.

I'm aware of its price and age thanks.

My point is that people travelling a lot further than the 60mile round trip than me to see a car described as 'immaculate' and with having 'no dents' should be aware its not as described.

As I said, it will be a good project for someone.
We all complain about going to see cars that are not as described then when I give people a heads up all hell breaks loose. Ridiculous.

Anyway I've made a point, that's all I wanted to do

Honestly3k is fully entitled to express his opinion. And it's a fair one. Appreciate that you took the time to come and see the car mate.

I do mention in my ad above that there are some minor niggling paintwork issues, and as mentioned previously, it is a 15 year old car that's never had any after market cosmetic work or mods done to it, so IMPO, it's in fantastic shape.

However, that being said, compared to some of the other prices in here, I've definitely factored in for these bits and pieces and still think it's a fair price.

Car is still for sale if there's some interest.

Cheers
