Hey all. Smile

Most of you won't be surprised my this.. I want another S1 Rallye so the current S2 is up for sale or ideally swap (for 8v or 16v S1 Rallye or 16v Xsi)

The only reason for this is that it's a third car, and only used on local runs and I prefer the fizzy nature of a S1.

Most of you know how often I change cars and will know that all my cars are of good standard and very honestly described. As I'm, My reputation on here is important to me!

So.. Some will think £2100 is too much to ask for this car but.. It's priced very accurately.
Most would view and never spot the little niggles it has, I'm just being honest. It's as good, if not better than most 2k Rallyes! So don't be smart and say give me money off because of a tiny scratch..they all have them!

Anyway, hopefully that will deter the timewasters.

Onto the car.

1998 R Reg Indigo Blue S2 Rallye
Mot end of March
Shell on 130,000 ish miles, give or take
Engine-
206 cc tu5j4 with j4cams, valves and springs is on roughly 67k miles, apparently,no proof.
Heatwrapped Raceland 4-2-1
Full Pugsport 2"
Nissens Radiator
Enclosed induction kit
It runs very smoothly and Pulls like a train!

Transmission -
S2 Rallye gearbox, slight whine in 3rd gear but all gears are very smooth, and no crunching.
Omp gearknob
Compbrake Quickshift
Baker bm engine mounts
GrpN adjustable gear linkages

Suspension -
Bilstein B8 dampers and trusty Faulkner springs combo
Fully polybushed all around, can clearly be seen on rear beam and other usual spots.
IMaxles refurbished rear beam (2012) receipts present
Omp upper strut brace

Brakes -
Standard 247mm Rallye brakes & MC
Ferodo DS2500 brake pads

Omp style suade Dished steering wheel
Very clean s2 steels with centre caps
Recent bits
Just had passenger door resprayed, new bonnet decal, new door decal on the way too
rust in boot just been repaired couple of weeks ago.
Engine bay has been treated for rust in the past
Fu service including spark plugs and full car health check carried out beginning of January
New throttle cable
New Osram Nightbreaker bulbs
New instrument cluster bulbs
New fuel pump and

Bad bits, I am being honest here!
Rear seats aren't Rallye seats but in good condition.
No rear plastic door cards
No glove box, headlining or plastic indicator surround.
Inner front door handles are not fitted but will be included.
For some reason the engine loom doesn't have a oil temp wire! So oil temp gauge does not work.
Few tiny scratches and stonechips on bonnet, all highlighted in the pics below!
Rear tyres could do with replacing.(3mm)

So there we have it, a super honest and pretty damn clean Rallye. It has niggles, all of which I've pointed out. I payed more for a worst car at the time..

It only get driven the odd weekend, providing I'm not away for work and gets a one time weekly trip up to the shops and a little round-trip of local lanes to keep things moving.

I'm in to rush to shift it and will gradually keep improving it anyway.
Looking for a S1 rallye or Xsi only so that's the only reason for the change.

£2100 ono or a deal to its cash my way or yours depending on the car!

Contact me via Pm or Mobile.
Car is located in High Hurstwood, East Sussex and can be viewed most days.

I can WhatsApp specific pics anytime

Ha thanks Aaron.
It's a cool little car and drive very nicely, just everything feels slow compared to Audrey the Audi so I'm now on the hunt for a S1 Rallye, ideally 8v for some slower fun!
