I used a fuel additive on my 3 series diesel and used shell v power nitros plus and it ran like a dream but that's a diesel so different rules may apply for petrol?

Old engines can have carbon deposits that after Redex is used may disappear and mean that a valve seat that used to seal afterwards might not after treatment. Going from my experience not worth using causes more issues than fixing!

Ok I know someone with a BMW 335i which has done this, and now has running issues.

Could draining the tank and putting clean fuel in fix the issue?
