Just want to check I have listed out all the parts I need for a clutch change correctly:

- Genuine Pug clutch kit (already have this)
- Clutch Cable
- Clutch fork bushes (2 white bushes)
- Input shaft seal (release bearing slides onto this)
- 2 litres of Pug BV 75w80 gear oil
- Genuine Pug driveshaft oil seals x 2

Think that is everything? Haven't missed anything?

I also have a GE quickshift to fit, and need to source some linkages from Miles, so that I can fit all of this at the same time.

Cheers

Input shaft seal ??

I'd get a crank seal as well but you will have to take the fly whell off to fit it !

Yeah, one of these below, clutch release bearing slides onto it. If it is damaged it can make the clutch sticky, so worth replacing as precaution.

Cheers for advice re crank seal Thumbs up

Buy from a Peugeot dealer not Spoox - Warners in Tewkesbury will post if you don't have a good one nearby. Speak to Steve or Ed on 01684 297575

You have the new style clutch fork bushes with rubber inserts? Make a huge difference as i've just found out in the last two weeks Thumbs up

Cheers Adam Thumbs up

Wasn't going to buy from Spoox just wanted to make sure it was right part.

I have searched and found the part numbers for the two crank seals.

One needs flywheel off to replace, the other will be replaced when I change cambelt and fit alloy pulley at same time.

Cheers Smile

According to servicebox, my VIN comes up with the part numbers for the new style bushes yes. There used to be only two part numbers, but on mine there is three, the third being a seal/insert for the lower bush I believe.

You'll need 3 litre of gear box oil.

I put in 2.5 litres and it didn't come out the side. But i read the FAQ so didnt put in any more.

I've since put in the rest and gearbox change is less crunchy. But with the weather I've not had a chance to run her and then get the wheel of to see if any comes out the side.

There is an older and newer design of fork bushes.

Older bush part numbers:

2175 21 FORK BEARING SUP BA- - WHITE - UNTIL RPO 08484

2175 20 FORK BEARING INF BA- - WHITE- UNTIL RPO 08484

Newer bush part numbers:

2175 55 SUP - SINCE RPO 08485

2175 54 INF - SINCE RPO 08485

2175 56 PROTECTOR 20,4X25,9-11 - SINCE RPO 08485

That bottom one (2175 56) is a seal /insert for the later lower fork bush. I think it might be to do with addressing issue of water getting in and rusting the shaft which can increase wear. But otherwise not sure but that is the additional part for later bushes.

The later bushes appear on cars after 01.02.2000

So would need two seals then for each bush? Servicebox diagram shows the seal only on bottom bush. So top one needs it as well?

And 3 litres of gearbox oil Mister GTR?!

Just over two litres is required as Chris says, but 2 litres should be adequate as there will be some old oil left since you can't completely drain it all.

So you shouldn't fill it until it comes out the over flow on the side of the gearbox?

Nb, I have read that the figure is wrong because the 6 Haynes manual has the 5 speed gearbox oil capacity in it.

Did as Buzz suggested and as expected he was right.

A couple hundred mls of oil came out (sorry for not measuring exactly) I'd still say that more than 2ltrs is needed considering i put in 3ltr. But then i made sure i drained when the gearbox oil was warm/hot and left it an hour to drip, so maybe have got more out than some.

But as Buzz said. Put in 2ltrs (or a little more if you buy 3 bottles), go a for a drive to warm things up, then remove the overflow screw.

Thanks again for the advice.
