Is it ok to Jack a 306 up with a trolley Jack in the middle of the rear beam?

There is a sill jacking point on each side. Also, the subframe would work.

Lol i'm not that stupid! The trolley jack is a flat head type so i was concerned it would bend the sill jack point over? (like my old vauxhall's always were...)

i tend to jack the subframe centrally so you can work on both sides, get a proper jack though with a big handle, like a 3 tonne one. got a pair of liftmaster ones - they are good

(obviously after i'd support it on stands at the sill points or front somewhere stable)

THERE'S THREE OPTIONS FOR FRONT SUBFRAME JACKING :
THE RIGHT ONE IS TO USE APPROPRIATE LONG HEAVY TROLLEY JACK
BUT IT'S EXPENSIVE,
OR USE THE EXTENSION HANDLE OF THE SHORT TROLLEY THAT COME WITH IT.
OR THE ONE THAT I CHOOSE WHICH IS THE MOST STUPID ONE, USE THE SHORT TROLLEY WITHOUT THE EXTENSION, I ALMOST LOST MY HAND WHEN THE CAR SLAMMED DOWN AFTER I RELEASED THE JACK VALVE WITH THAT HANDLE.

TO RELEASE THE VALVE WITH HANDLE OTHER END, I NEEDED TO STRETCH MY ARM UNDER THE FRONT, IN THAT POSITION YOU HAVE ALMOST ZERO LEVERAGE ON THE VALVE THAT WAS STUBBORN
IN IT'S INITIAL MOVE, SO I HAD TO PUT MUCH MORE POWER TO TURN IT, AND IT TURNED SUDDENLY
TO FULLY OPENED STATE WHICH SLAMMED THE CAR FAST, BUT I MANAGED TO PULL MY ARM
FASTER THEN THE FALLING FRONT, THOSE TWO GUYS IN THE IMAGE, FROZE WHEN THEY SAW THAT HAPPEN, THEN TOLD ME HOW LUCKY I WAS.

I use bits of wood on the trolley jack head that the sill jacking point sinks into, thus providing a bit more support.

I've said this before many times but garages always seem to love jacking 306s on the solid-looking but soft chassis cross-members or longitudinal rails.
