Hi

I am currently rebuilding my 206 rally-cross car with a GTI6 SHB engine and want to pick someones brains on suspension as i have removed the inner wing as i will be adding strut tops from the cage and then tubbing in the front arches for clearance when i run it low on 17" rims, i have also removed the front sub-frame and manufactured one out of tube so that i can install my own fabricated rose jointed bottom arms

My question is what is the best castor angle to run as i see some of the new rally cars running huge castor around 12 deg and i have power steering so wont have the issue of heavy steering

Anyone got any advice on whats best to run???

Marty

Ask Colin Satchell, I doubt he will divulge all his chassis setup data but might be able to give a pointer.

Those rally cars running big castor also dont have the damper running directly to the lower pivot, often some way in front and very long travel, and very expensive roller bearing units, not bushed.
