My kam racing gear linkages are rattling like an old woman sat on a washing machine, I filled the cups with some Castrol multi purpose grease but they are still very loud, has anyone managed to fully silence theirs? They're so annoying that I'm contemplating going back to standard. |

standard will fix it, or a satchshift if you wait a bit longer.got the same problem with mine and they've done bugger all mileage, pivot on the subframe does have some skop so ill rebuild that soon and see if that makes any difference ________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

Mine have been on the car less than 100 miles. I have new bushes to go on the pivot but when I went to remove the heat shield I snapped 3 bolts so I gave up on the job. I will try some drive shaft grease cheers! |

Never had any rattle ? Sure it's the linkage rattling ? When do they rattle ? At idle ? |

No about 3k. It's definitely the linkages as it only started after I fitted them and when I hold the stick to one side slightly it rattles less. |

They're setup correctly, i'm surprised you haven't heard about it mate it seems to be quite a common side effect of fitting them. |

Only ever used baker bm linkages and never had a problem ? I always pack the ends with lithium grease though ? Only rattle I've ever had was rear brake pads due to missing the anti rattle clip things ? Gear rods from baker always seem tight fit even after many miles/years of use ? I even ran them without the securing clips ? ![]() |

I packed these with some castrol multi purpose grease but they rattled from the moment they were fitted.I might take them off and try some of the drive shaft grease and see if that helps, they're awkward to fit though so don't want to have them off every week. |

Maybe the original balls on the gearbox side wear smaller over time? Mine on my 205 before satch shift never rattled and were dry________________________________________ 230 hp 2.1 16v XU 205 rallye on jenveys![]() 309 3dr K20 Type R |

Completely filled them with normal multipurpose grease when ever they have been removed and I've never had a single noise in about 3 years of them being on the car. Fitted a few other sets for mates as well and never had a problem. My 6 has done 145k and previously still had the original linkages which were practically falling apart so I don't see how the balls would wear more than mine have. ________________________________________ Black power baby! No mate I never had the noise prior to changing the linkages over and it quietens down significantly if I push the gearstick down. |

Gents, i've just picked up some uprated linkages, however my good friend that will be fitting them (and has done all the work on the car thus far) has said the bush on the end of the main rod is also knackered, any idea what he is referring to and where to get one!? |
