Hi
I always get a single clonk when turning right, anything more than a 3/4 turn it happens.
It comes from the left side under the floor.
I changed my arb bushes thinking it was them but it still remains. Nothing obvious when up on axle stands just a slight clonk from the strut.

Any body got any ideas on what it could be?

Could be the spring not seated or the rubber cover on the spring damaged. Causing it to move on the seat.

Changed out the strut today and spring, bearing was absolutely fine.
Clonk remains Angry

Could it have anything to do with the steering rack or even an engine mount, I'm running out of things to change lol.

One more thing to add......
I replaced the standard wishbone bushes for aluminium ones I did notice that the main bolting face was thicker than the standard one. Could this cause the arb bush clamp not to fully clamp the rubber bush as it should. Keep in mind that this noise has only happened since replacing theses wishbone bushes.

Measured the thickness of my alloy bushes on my wishbones and the clamping arm is 1.5mm thicker than the standard steel ones. Therefore the arb bush body isn't fully clamping the rubber.
could this be causing the clonk when turning right?

Have you jacked it up and got somebody to turn it for you while having a look? Might help pinpoint the problem as it could be any of the numerous things already mentioned Yes

My Diesel does this when I turn one way & I was told by my Mechanic that several 306s he's had in have done this on N/S & he said it was the steering ram ?
Don't know if this helps ?
