OK, so ive tried my best and can i hell get this exhaust right. Its blowing from the fitting kit at the cat, and the join from the cat to the centre section. The cat is very slightly less in diameter than the centre section, so needs a shim i suppose.

I bought a new manifold to cat fitting kit but its still blowing.

Dead simple but i just cant get it right on the drive, and honestly i want to drive it in a garage and drive it out done. I hate exhausts! Im now cold and aching from laying on cold concrete for four hours.

Has anyone got a friendly garage near Glasgow / Helensburgh?

If they are very tiny leaks and just need sealing try liberally applying this:

Available basically everywhere, it's about 3.99 from halfords.

It isn't really for plugging huge holes, more for sealing little pin holes and flaky joints however I have a crap cat join that I've been meaning to get welded up and I still plug the hole with this and it works for quite a long time if you apply it very liberally, let it harden for 10-15 minutes, then run the engine and see where you missed and put more there. Might not be as tolerant of the temperatures before the cat though!

I've had that before mate and it never seems to last. I just want a nice, sorted, fitting system with no blows!

The cats not too bad, I f**ked up really as I got a fitting kit for manifold to cat, and the bloody flame ring is too small. Had to use the old one, which turns out to be knackered. Is there anywhere I can just buy the flame ring?

No it doesn't last but it is good if a noise is annoying you in the interim.

Need mine welded. :/
