Hi looking to install full race clutch in my car running a pug sport 6 speed box so currently a pull clutch but need to convert to a push type so I can get multi plate type unit been told I can just change lever to a Be3 type has anyone done this ????

If I'm understanding you correctly, it's what many of us do for the 205 conversions.

    Ok will have a look at a Be3 box and see if I can rob the arm and linkage 👍👍👍👍

    your arm already is be3, more specifically its a pull clutch and you need the push arm and cross shaft, new bysges wouldnt go amiss.

    dont need the linkage.

    Yup the 306 HDI box has push arm and uses push type clutch so just swap with parts from one of those. I know some people with HDI's swap to a pull clutch from an XUDT or 6 box.

    Cheers for the advise but gone and bought a BE4 works straight cut six speed box already converted so will have my box for sale soon has 5.3 cwp fitted......

    I have just done this conversion. for future referance the part numbers are:


    Valeo bx gti 16v clutch kit - 641545400 euro car parts

    Clutch fork kit 211525 (pug number), pattern ones available on ebay

    white fork bushes - p217520 , p217521 (pug)

    clutch cable p2150z0. 134950 (pug)

    It might be possible to modify the original cable although it is longer. Smile On the plus side they don't appear to stiffen up as quick as the silly pull design (can be made lighter still by extending clutch arm),however the push pressure plates can wear out in a shorter time. Smile
