Do these need a good firm tap to fit onto the diff? Or should they fit ok nice and easy , think I might have ordered wrong ones , ones I have are JL69349A/310/Q SKF Metric Taper Bearing 38/63/17 , but been told SKF JL69345F310Q Metric Single Row Taper Roller Bearing 38x63x17mm are the correct ones , ain't they both the same size?

o.e were Timken or SNR branded, varied throughout production.

Doesn't matter what the brand is as long as they're the correct size, you need a press to fit them properly, though if tolerances aren't too tight you may get them on with a suitable drift.

certainly should not go on by hand.

Give these bearings a good tap tomorrow should go on , don't see how different part number will make any different if bearing is same size :-)

Looking at the data on SKF's website regarding the two there are some small differences in roller dimensions
