I've just fitted a new rack to my daily and thought I'd best double check about how to centre the rack before having the tracking done.
Is it just a case of measuring the distance from the end of the track rod to say the subframe and getting it equal both sides before tweaking the rod ends?

Other forums would have me believe to measure from lock to lock and do it from the centre but I'm thinking the the lock limiter from the gti6 ram will throw things out a little.
It's a ph1 xsara rack I've just fitted for reference.

Cheers for any help. Smile

measure from end of track rods to the hub carrier, ensure both are the same, adjust both track rods equally to achieve desired toe settings.

no probs.

once both track rods are equal you can adjust your steering wheel to suit if it is off centre, you do need to do this before getting it tracked if someone else does it as they will usually just clamp the wheel where it looks straight.
