A few little extras to add

Still musing on this one

but everyone loves shiny stuff! Thumbs up

Now for a real mystery, I had a bolt fall down between the pipes on the inlet manifold and it came to rest behind this plug.
Naturally I'm a bit worried about what it is because I moved it off my old blown block onto this one. Literally not a bloody clue what plugs in though, all the loom connectors don't match or even reach No

The one between the starter and the bracket.

OK Everyone I'm back from NZ. 4 months away and I'm now more than 100% useless. No idea what stuff did.

Hoping you could point me in some direction today so I can get this finished this week! LOL

Question 1)
What can I do with this connector? Front passenger side.

As you can see it's a bit nasty

but doesn't seem to come apart.

Question 2)
What does this hold?

Question 3)
Where does this connect to? It's the super long connector which comes from the area down behind the gearbox and is long enough to go anywhere.

Question 4)
Does this large coolant pipe just push in to the thermostat housing bit? seems bloody tight!

Question 5)
Which of these matrix pipes connect to that metal bit from the block?

Cheers bud. I'd have been there for months.
As for that, it's dad's wine collection. You'll be lucky haha!

Loom just goes into a hidden tangle of black plastic wrapping. I'll have a good look round the ABS in the morning though, thanks!

Update: Clutch was a total bastid! Now does what it is supposed to do.

Also added these bad boys on as the rubber in the original ones was furked.

This has now appeared though. Any ideas?

A random connector from behind the throttle body Crazy

That plug is a spare, the long one from the last post it your drivers side wheel speed sensor.

Did you get the elbow piece for your brake booster vacuum line?

How was the nz trip? Did you pass through Hamilton/Waikato region? :p

Your question 1 plug looks like the one that goes through the sheet metal in front of the passenger wheel arch near the horns and air box. Half of the plug is clamped onto the body by a plastic bezel where the plug goes through a circular hole in the body. I don't know exactly what wiring it is for, but the position might help?

The question 1 connector was/is for the fan. But yes it's almost the same as those 2 you're talking about.

Been a while but new job half way up the country does that.
No.1 Don't use crap tools

This was where it was when I last was posting on here.

Got a load of the important bits on before I had to go away.
The had the kerfuffle of the battery light staying on and the cam belt being too tight.
Anyhow, one of dad's mates popped over while I was away to do up the hub nuts and take it away for the MOT.

I came back to see it sat on all 4 wheels so naturally I took it out the garage and gave it a bit of a clean up

Heater matrix got done too. NIGHTMARE! Roll eyes

That sight still haunts me slightly.

I then spent a seriously long time trying to track down the issue with the battery light staying on

Getting nowhere as usual Thumbs down

Spent a very long time looking at all the connections on these

and these

Still nothing. Thumbs down

And after the heater matrix job the interior fans stopped doing anything too.

Unfortunately I ran out of time when I came home and I needed some help.
Spoke to Ryan but he's too busy so I was passed on to Carl Chambers.
Off it went

A few weeks later I got on a train (I can't believe it either! They're horrible!) to the far east of England, where the hills are measured in centimeters.

Story:
I was stood on Nottingham station's platform when some girl who's face was basically made of polyfiller and hair bleached to death was complaining.
"Why should I go out there? It's raining."
the mum: "Because that's your train"
Blonde: "Can't it come over here?"
F.M.L.!!

But I got back and had to sort the side strips out.
These came off back at my parent's house

This was how I drove it back

And with the nice re-sprayed strips back on

And here it now stands!

After going to meet Carl I can definitely say he's a great bloke. Highly recommended. No fuss, got it done. And has a cool AF race car.

So now it's back I had to do a few bits.
These look smart in real life, awful in the photo

Then got hold of these! That'll be a fun job soon

Looks smart here though

So there we go. Just a few bits n bobs to come. Pugfest 2016 might happen now!
