Good feedback on other forums so can't see why they wouldn't be any good ? Plus you only pay for it when it's delivered

Any idea what they are referring to when they say 'bearing mountings in the transverse have been checked and reconditioned'?

Perhaps the surface the beam axles are "pressed" into?

Maybe they mean the wheel bearing itself?

Did you contact them to arrange an auction for an axle without bars. Or did they sort it out through email to purchase one that way?

Just curious as to how you sorted it, or whether you just said after you had bought one through the auction?

I assume they are easy to deal with?

I contacted the seller through the link on the beams advert, asked if they would sell one without bars.

He said he could, but wondered why I wanted that. Told him I plan to fit different bars and he said "ok, I'll knock 40quid off".

Sent me his paypal address and sent him my address, no fuss

If they last, that's a good price. By the time you've factored parts, refurb costs and also labour

It looks like they come without the hubs though, so factor that cost in too.

Yes arrived today.

It's still wrapped up in the cellar as not had a chance to inspect it, but it does have torsion bars fitted so not sure what he's removed to knock 40 quid off.

I'll inspect it after work tomorrow and try and get some pictures up

Haven't stripped it apart yet but looks ok so far. Bolts in arb end plates are missing though, maybe that's where the 40quid went
