Well, due to the impossibility of getting bells and rotors, im having to stick to OEM discs, so I`ve started looking for other options, and I came up with this Wilwood Dynapro´s.
About prices, with a refurb of the Brembos, i`ll be almost at the same price of the Wilwoods (new ones).
To go with Brembos, i`ll have to sort out a bracket for 305 discs cause I wont find rotors, and Im not going to put up with squealing!!! Definitly Brembos win by far on looks, and cause its Brembo!! Big grin And that really matters to me!
But the squealing issues really puts me off!! And apparently there`s no solution with OEM discs for it. I guess with 305mm discs and original pads SHOULDNT squeal???

So, what would you do? Try to do some miracle about the Brembos with OEM discs, or go for the Wilwoods?
Its not for track use! Just a little sporty drive sometimes. And no, I wont stick with original calipers and good discs/pads.

Wilwood´s pros
- New
- 4 pots 1.75"
- Wieghs less than 2kg each
- Have a wide range of pads, different compunds, at reasonable prices Pads
- Fits from 280 to 310mm 26mm rotors and fits under 15" apparently (any way im going with 17"Wink, so I have a wide range of discs to choose from. Guess i`ll be going for the 302mm, unless theres a 310mmx26mm OEM disc/rotor?
- Radial mount, easier to adapt/make bracket

Brembos weigh 4 kg each, the 288x28 discs weigh 8kg.

afaik the rally design willwood peugeot 285mm kit disc will weigh close to a gti6 disc which is 6kg.

these do fit under a 205 1.9 gti speedline with a small spacer, 5-10mm iirc, only downside is having to buy rallydesign discs when you wear them out, they do last a while though.

the "welly" kit which fitted over a std gti6 disc needed a 15 mm spacer for cyclomes iirc, but very hard to find.

Does anybody know the Brembo's part number of the caliper to search for the full specs? To look for the pistons and seals codes and specs, and all the calipers dimentions and stuff like this:

Thanks

I tihink i'll go for the Brembos and just have some shims done for the pads to use with 26mm thick discs. I saw on ebay there even are some titanium shims Smile
Got more disc options to choose from, and if somehow, someday i find some decent bells and rotors, its just changing the mounting bracket and taking the shims out.
Hope it doesnt squeal with 302mm discs, or is there any bigger 26 thick discs out there?
