Does anybody use one of these. I'm looking for a basic one for my iPhone 4 and there seems a few but I just wanted a heads up before paying for one.

Well I can't find a decent one so will be looking for a dedicated dash cam I think. This site has really gone quiet these days, nobody bothers to reply to anything anymore.

I'm keen to find one too, prob is with most trackdays it won't permit anything but a solid mount which renders most mobiles useless...

Why don't you just buy a dedicate cheap camera like the SJ4000 or mobius?

Everyday use. Looking at an iPixi camera, seems good for the money. Has the gps, g-sensor, motion sensor for when some fat bint reverses into you in Tesco car park etc

i thought about a dashcam for my m3 this weekend when some bellend pulled out and almost wrote it off

just seen these - http://dashcams.co.uk/shop/naito-v1

dunno if they're cack or not though, seem an OK spec tbh

also the v2 for a bit more - http://dashcams.co.uk/shop/naito-v2/

wish i had one in my old 6 when a nice uninsured / unlicensed taxi wrote it off and caused me 12 months of stress

They look pretty good. I assume that you can press a button to put it onto constant record for use on a track? Seems a lot cheaper than a go pro

Generally with these you select the amount of "loop" time that each file contains, I.e 1 minute, 5 minutes etc. I guess with the files you could link them to make a long video but I don't think they're a substitute for a go pro really.

but you wouldn't wanna leave a GoPro in the car. a dashcam would be fine and they're more discreet

Here's a pretty long thread on dash cams. Might be of interest. Not sure what the rules are to posting to other forums but considering it's a BMW forum and in off topic (although there is a pug link on page 7) i hope it isn't a problem.
