Well a few of you may remember around seven years ago I had a 106 cosworth which I sold to set up my business, only gone and bought it back.

It looked like this when I sold it-

Looks a bit like this now, but in a way it's a better car for it, has a modified floor pan to distribute the weight better and has a carbon fibre roof and a lot of rose jointed suspension and trick bits which it never had when I sold it, can't wait to build it back up.

Well I can afford the shell back ha ha, the engine and box are a different matter.

It will be a flintstone car for a while I feel.

No it's very trick now, it was standard stuff before. It will be better set up than the real escort once it's done, here's a few bits

Genuine mag montes 18" (rare wheels)

Proflex 3 way WRC suspension

4x billet Alloy WRC uprights

Front/rear steering arms to suit uprights

Billet GRPA TCA'S rose jointed

Proper GRPA comp struts rose jointed

Front WRC top mounts

Rear WRC top mount plates

A bit late now with a ford floor pan and gearbox tunnel, not to mention modified very recently for better weight distribution, just need to find a complete sierra cosworth if anyone knows of one, I remember when you could get them for about £500LOL

It would be easier to have the whole car, if your mate has one I will pay him for the complete car and what I don't use he can have back to sell the bits on.

Well I got it back this morning, a trek over to mk Motorsport to pick the car up and all the suspension components etc and it's all safe and sound back home, I have to say there is literally not a bolt on the car, it's going to be a long process thisLOL

Here's the power plant

Pushed it into the corner of the garage for now, haven't a clue where to start. Glad I got it back though.

Well I have been on the look out for a sierra to get all my running gear and engine, basically I wanted a complete car so I knew I had literally everything I needed these cars are so rare now that buying individual parts is a real no no now as the costs are unreal, also ford don't really supply any parts now so what is out there commands a price (cosworth tax)

After many months of searching asking on line and wanted ads this was bought today for eye watering money to be fair, I could buy 4 gti6s for the money, it's got no mot, tax and has been sat for two years, good thing is it's got a fully rebuilt engine and has only covered 26 miles since done, I went to collect it today and after a bit of a faf a new set of plugs and a jump start it fired into life.

Took it out for a drive and other than a vibration from the rear it drives great, the brakes on the other handLOL

Here she is-

Cracker hey, actually looks better in the photo.Yes

My son was screaming when I got home, I put him in this and he was all smiles, at least he was, when i told the missus I was stripping it on the drive she had a face on her.

A few, issues, made it cheap, bumper knackered

Rusty-

Front floor pans holed, battery tray holed and the n/s strut top.

Plus the general paintwork is shabby.

Carl
