not anything in particular here except a rant (at peugeot).......i f**king hate s**tty rear 306 bleed nipples.

what kind of french frog bas**rd would choose two different nipple sizes for the front and back.

i have now given up on s**tty bleed nipples and resorted to redrilling out the hole and ramming a self tapper in there.

a big "two fingers" at peugeot if you think you can s**t of my day

The fact the calliper is substantially smaller may have something to do with the size difference? Anyway, they are a standard size i believe. Just get a 7mm socket on there and take a bit of care with them and you will crack them off no worries.

Right you are sir! Still, you get the idea. Lube it right up, slip the socket on then wiggle it about till it loosens up enough to undo properly.

I've had loads stuck and not many come undone even with penetrating fluid and heat but if they do then put copper grease on the threads before you refit!

That's what different size spanners and sockets are there for.
Why didn't they just use a multinut on everything throughtout the car so you can do anything with 1 spanner?

Giving the nipple a tap with a hammer seems to work, nothing too hard as they are so soft. Little trick a mechanic showed me years ago that touch wood has never failed for me.

Any I've had round off is usually because idiots have tightened them until they slipped, you can see It's going to be an issue before you even try and I find mole grips seem to be the one when that's the case rather than further round it off.

I must agree that having such small nipples will obviously be an issue at some point.
