Put car on gumtree earlier, within half hour I get this message saying someone is interested. ....

iv gone along with it to some extent incase it is genuine.....but im not sure but apparantly he gonna send the money but he hasnt asked where car is or anything, doesnt seem to want to see it,sending a agent to collect when payment cleared. I bet he does the old chargeback after his "agent" has collected lol

He has not got my addy or anything like that yet.

what you reckon???

Paul hill writes like an African con artist. This is definitely a con man. Steer clear. He will most likely over pay you by accident!

Tell him you're not sure if he's genuine. Ask him to send you a picture of himself with a loaf of bread on his head and a sign saying I am Paul! I am love 306!

Looks dodgy!

Plenty if genuine buyers who will come along wit cash.

If your initial gut feeling thinks it iffy then most likely is.

Buzzbright year.

They will send you the money. Then collect the car. At which point they will dispute the transaction with pay pal. Pay pal will automaticaly return the cash to the sellers account untill it is settled. (which is a fake account for a fake person) BUT the seller will with draw the cash as soon as it comes back then dissapear with the car and the cash . And pay pal do nothing because the person they are trying to trace does not exsist

This is my understanding of how it works anyway

Get him to paypal the money over. Send it straight to your bank account and with draw the cash. Then sever the link from your bank to paypal so they can't take any money's from your account.

Then send him a message saying it's ready for collection, if he don't turn up then you have made 2k.

If need be make a new paypal account Smile

Yes. The missus mum very almost fell for it when selling her car until we all said its a blatant con.
When selling my Saab it took me about 2 months to sell and i must of had 50 of these emails in that time. A few of them i played along just to see how ridiculous i could get it. One of them offered me double the asking price eventually if i met his "Courier" to exchange the car and then he would bank transfer the money LOL
