The high boost ones with the TB on the manifold use a different map to the Low boost kits which use the original map.

Thats super high boost with the larger charger Niall.

Yes both low and high boost do but its located before the charger as its only capable of seeing vacuum not boost. it bolts into the square section between the throttle body and the charger inlet.

Cheers Pete Smile

I guess this is underneath/at the back? Not at the car at the minute, but dont recall seeing it when I have worked on the car recently. I think it may be causing my intermittent hunting/bad idle issues.

Thanks chaps!

Only held in by a 10mm but but yeh I think it's underneath.

And as thy all run vacuum I'd be checking all boost pipes for leaks as that could cause hunting or bad idle etc as well. (Obviously ICV too)

I have had a check of boost pipes etc and they all seem to be good.

It wont do it all the time, just sometimes when you start it, will hunt at either 2 or 3krpm. Most of the time though, you can just turn it off and on again, and will be fine.

I have a slow starter motor and have done for years, thinking now that its draining too much cranking amps, meaning when car does start, some of the sensors have a low voltage and cause issue?

Anyway, for whats its worth, going to start by replacing the MAP sensor and see how I get on.

Poor from the start.

Most times you can turn the car off and on again (sometimes takes 2 or 3 times) but then it will start with better idle and be fine.

If I start it from cold, it will be fine, I only seem to get the issue when I am starting the engine from warm.

If starting from cold does it start to go wrong once warmed up?
