Evening all.
If you have seen my project thread, you would of seen my car was mapped last month and didn't get too good a result. Only 189bhp ATW. Main reasons was lack of boost (caused by a serious boost leak, was only making 3psi) and failing fuel pump not supplying enough fuel. Ive now fitted a Walbro 255 so fuel pressure is not an issue and boost leak has been dealt with however Steve at track and road suggested at the time fitting a rate of rise fuel pressure regulator before it goes back for re mapping along with the pump and sorting the boost leak. I never asked why i would need one but now wondering, how would it benefit me? Do i really need one or is it just worth going back with the new pump and boost leak fixed?

Cheers

It all depends on how much boost you are looking to run, how much power you're looking for and what size injectors you're running.

440cc injectors, After about 210-220bhp which should be well within reach on my setup. Once the leak is sealed and new pulley on, should be seeing 7-8psi

Bang a 4 bar fuel pressure regulator on there that'll give you all the scope you need.

Based on that information then, I agree with the others. Yes

A 4 BAR FPR will be just the ticket, you won't need any more than that, plus I've never rated those 'rising' ones anyway. Thumbs down
