Right, gonna replace my dead Rallye engine with a spare GTi....


Is everything pretty much the same minus thermostat blank and aux set up? I don't need to be aware of anything in particular do I?

Exactly the same except the aux setup and obviously a lack of air con pump

I thought I'd read somewhere there was a thread on the block that isn't used by the GTi, but is by the Rallye and would need tapped out.

I'm probably mistaken.

Just want everything to be a smooth swap

No mate its a straight swap. AUX setup, blank on thermostat housing, other than that its exactly the same. How you getting on with this? Got engine out yet?
