Heck, nearly a whole month with no update on this! A crisis was averted when the whole site died for a while, and this im guessing couldn't have been looked into at the time of reviving the site...??

its not just PM notifications are down, appears that password reset and new member confirmations are not working either.

I never got any e-mail notifications. Even when I first registered or had to reset my password I had to ask Ash to activate my account because no e-mail would ever arrive. Could be the mails from your mail server are blocked by several other mail providers.

i've not had them for years. reported it on this thread way back, see my replies from ISP who looked into it. probably the same thing again to do with outgoing email address of the notifications not being a valid email or other outgoing server issue
